Essiac Tea For Immune Support
This detoxification and immune supportive Ezziac (Essiac) Tea is an Objibway Indian preparation of synergistic, potent herbs. Essaic herbal tea was used earlier last century by a French Canadian nurse, Rene Caisse as a herbal tonic, especially for cancer patients. The unique combination of burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm and turkey rhubarb root is believed to enhance the effects of the individual herbs. Morlife Ezziac Tea is a convenient powdered version of this popular immune supportive tea based on Rene Caisse's Essiac tea. Just follow the instructions below. It is best to follow the instructions in a step by step fashion to achieve desired results.
Preparation of Essiac Tea:
-
1 – Measure 2L of filtered water in a 3L cooking pot (don't use aluminium, use stainless steel or cast iron). Cover and bring to the boil.
-
2 – Weigh approx. 45g of Ezziac and add to boiling water, stir. Replace lid and simmer on very low for 10 minutes.
-
3 – Remove from heat and stir mixture thoroughly. Replace lid and let stand at room temperature, for 10 – 12 hours.
-
4 – Stir thoroughly, cover and heat Ezziac liquid until steaming hot (do not boil). Remove from heat and allow to settle for a few minutes.
-
5 - Sterilise glass jars and lids with boiling water, then strain Ezzaic liquid using a fine strainer into the sterilised jars. Tighten lids on jars, allow to cool then tighten again.
-
6 - Store jars in refrigerator. This is a sensitive preparation and contains no preservatives. If mould develops in jars discard immediately. It is best to make up a fresh batch every three weeks.
-
Note: It is important that all of these instructions are carefully followed. All jars and lids must be sterilised before use.
Suggested Use: Take 1 – 2 tbsp (15 – 30ml) prepared Ezzaic liquid twice daily mixed with 1-2 tbsp of boiling water. For an extra boost take up to 4 tbsp (60ml), up to 3 x daily mixed with 4 tbsp of boiled water.
Ingredients: Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm and Rhubarb.
Important: Consult your healthcare professional if pregnant, breastfeeding or taking any medications or suffering from a serious medical condition before taking Essiac Tea. See your health care professional (preferably one with herbal medicine training) if symptoms persist.
